 We started this path with a handful of nurses at BSA and friends. The journey began when one of the nurses youngest child developed Leukemia at age 6, relapsed at age 8 and was cared for by some of the caring nurses at BSA that also helped get this shindig started. This has not been easy these last..... well really 20 plus years. But God has lead us every step of the way and grew us well past our expectations of helping with just food and gas with our first garage sale that landed us our first $2,000. We have seen many children survive but have also seen many children pass on to spend eternity with our Heavenly Father. Our hearts goes out to each of these families and it is very easy to become close to many of them through their journey. We help on average, 20 plus families a year.

* In this region there have been approx 15-20 plus new childhood cancer diagnosis a year. That's just the kids we are made aware of through our surrounding hospitals. We do; on the occasion, come in contact (through word of mouth) with children that live in this area but are treated at other hospitals in the Dallas and Houston areas. We assist those families as well. The tendancy here seems to be more with travel assistance as a major part of their expenses outside the normal every day. They too receive help with bills and groceries upon request.

* We have given 36 scholarships to those children that have survived and gone on to college.

*We have been blessed to help provide a Christmas party every year with the help of the cummunity and organizations like Valero Refinery, Circle of Friends, Texas Tech Hematology Oncology, the BSA and NWTH hopsital systems and The MTK Foundation.

*We started fundraising in 2006 with a garage sale and continued that through 2019

* Became an actual non-profit and 501(c)3 in 2008

* Held our first Golf Tournament in 2013 under the PAF name 4 years

* then Texas Panhandle Charities joined forces with us with the tournament through 2022

* "Tune Up Manly Salon" started having a Golf Tournament and sharing their proceeds with us in 2024 and this year (2026) will be the 3rd year they will be helping.

*Grant writing has become our biggest primary fundraising
